Getting started improving your Mental Fitness is simple. All of our training courses are 100% online, delivered live in small learning-groups by two highly qualified instructors, and presented through a combination of video conferencing and a customized online learning platform. Here’s how to get started right away…

FAQs
Becoming a Certified Mental Fitness Champion includes 12 hours of virtual face-to-face group discussion and learning. This training is divided into three 4-hour courses, with each course divided into two 2-hour sessions generally run one week apart.
Therefore, you can expect to complete your Mental Fitness Champion Certification over a period of around 6-8 weeks. For organizations running private Certifications, we have the flexibility to lengthen or shorten the learning time-frame depending on your needs.
Absolutely! Mental Fitness Champions are certified by Mental Fitness Hub to become proactive workplace Mental Fitness leaders. All participants will receive both a physical and digital Mental Fitness Champion Certification.
Upon completion, Champions will be provided with resources and tools to promote their new qualification on email signatures, social media profiles and desktop reminders.
Our Certification includes 12 hours of face-to-face training with two expert Mental Fitness trainers, ongoing exclusive access to the Mental Fitness Online Resource Library, and, of course, your very own Certified Mental Fitness Champion certificate.
For individuals, becoming a Certified Mental Fitness Champion costs A$749 (including GST). For organizations, costs vary depending on your group size. Please contact us for a custom quote.
Our online training is conducted in small groups of up to 20 people which is the ideal learning environment for deep discussion, experience sharing and engagement.
Our public courses are available for individual or group to sign up, and our private courses are available for group or workplace bookings.
Our public course times are listed on our website’s Book a Course page, and we are always adding more to the schedule, so if you don’t see a timeslot that works for you, contact Us so we can find a time that’s right for you. Private sessions for up to 20 people are also available upon request for workplaces and larger groups. Simply send us an email on our Contact Us page and we’ll find a day and time that works for you.
We offer courses in two formats.
Our open courses are open to the public, which we run at set times each month. These courses are ideal if you are an individual or small group looking to participate in our courses, become a Mental Fitness Champion, or try out our training before rolling it out at your workplace. You can sign up on our Book A Course page.
Our private courses are for larger groups and organizations who might want a specific date and time for training or customized content. These courses are not open to the public and will only have selected participants enrolled. You can either sign up using our Book a Course page or you can contact us to discuss further details.
No! Most of our participants prefer to take Mental Fitness First Aid, followed by Mental Fitness Circuit, followed by Mental Fitness Teams to become a Certified Mental Fitness Champion. However, these three courses can be taken in any order so feel free to choose courses based on convenience and availability.
Individuals who sign up for multiple places for one of our courses (such as with friends, family, or workmates) may be eligible for a discount. We offer automatic discounts in our online booking process when you enrol 3, 5, or 10 people in an open course.
Organizations who would like to have employees complete our training are able to receive discounts depending on how many people sign up, how many courses or certificates you run, and other services you may engage Mental Fitness Hub for.

You’ll be able to support other people having a tough time, discover and apply ways to improve your own Mental Fitness so you respond better to setbacks and challenges, and you’ll be able to inspire others in a team or group setting with the relevant and engaging language of Mental Fitness.

Our online training is enjoyed by team leaders, line managers, supervisors, new starters, teachers and principals, sports club coaches and support staff, as well as individuals who simply want to be more knowledgeable about mental health, and equipped with the skills to make a difference.
Anyone who cares about good mental health and wellbeing can become a Certified Mental Fitness Champion.
That’s great! In that case, some of the ideas we discuss might not be so new for you. However, our training has a few key differences which we’d love to share with you.
First, our approaches to mental health and wellbeing focus on prevention, habit-formation, and the use of engaging language to inspire people toward a lifestyle of Mental Fitness. This scientifically-backed approach differs from the highly stigmatized and reactive approach commonly used to attend to mental health challenges only after they’ve occurred.
Secondly, our training is more focused on everyday life challenges and supporting people with common everyday mental health challenges rather than focusing mainly on uncommon crisis situations. This involves learning the skills to deal more effectively with overwhelm, setbacks and ongoing problems, as well as how to proactively reach out to support and be supported by others.
Thirdly, our training is designed for the 21st-century environment. We can’t always physically be with the person we are providing support to, and of course, more and more of us are spending time online. That’s why we focus on the ins and outs of what it means to have important mental health conversations over Whatsapp, text, email, social media or video-call. In addition, we are big believers in Digital Nutrition – an approach that helps us to pro-actively design our lifestyle with regards to online information, rather than feel overwhelmed and reactive.
Finally, our training focuses more on recovery and practical support than other training programs. Often, it’s simply not practical or sufficient to simply say: “see your doctor” and leave people to fend for themselves in an expensive and overburdened sick-care system. Whilst engaging with professionals is certainly necessary in some cases, we provide tools to provide support to people over time as their situation goes up and down. Furthermore, we offer regular up-skill training and support through our Mental Fitness Hub community, rather than leaving our Champions to fend for themselves.
Our Mental Fitness First Aid Course is an excellent proactive refresher to people with existing training (such as Mental Health First Aid) or makes an ideal base level of knowledge before tackling our other courses such as Mental Fitness Circuit and Mental Fitness Teams.
Absolutely. One of the things we wanted to improve was the support and reference tools for Champions when they face difficult or uncertain situations.
First, there is our online Mental Fitness Hub Resource Libarary with articles, worksheets, videos and case studies of how to approach various situations.
Secondly, we have an online community where our team and experienced Mental Fitness Champions provide support and coaching through difficult situations.
Finally, we are building a range of digital services, apps and other ways to support people as they support others, support themselves, and support their teams.
This is the paradigm shift in workplace mental health awareness that makes Mental Fitness so inspiring and valuable. While it’s likely that a number of employees are potentially struggling in silence, it’s also important to engage people to understand mental health when they don’t feel like it’s a problem.
In fact, the best time to work on your fitness is when you’re feeling good, so you can build and protect your psychological and emotional resources for the future.
Absolutely not! You will not be learning the “power of positive thinking,” how to “manifest your dreams” or “balance your chakras.” Everything we do at Mental Fitness Hub is evidence-based, meaning that we only use credible scientific research to support our courses. You will never find self-help content or unproven “good ideas” here. We are a team of scientists, and we only recommend things that have been shown to work through rigorous academic research.

Once you have completed the three courses and associated course requirements, you will be issued your Certified Mental Fitness Champion Certificate and have the right to use the Certified Mental Fitness Champion Badge in all digital communications.
